VERBZ & MR SLIPZ FT RIAH KNIGHT - 'THE RAIN' (ALIX PEREZ REMIX)

UK hiphop record label, High Focus, have welcomed along drum and bass engineer, Alix Perez, for a remix of 'The Rain' on their joint ‘Radio Waves’ album from 2022.
The start of collaborative projects between Verbz and Mr Slipz began with ‘Lessons Of Adolescence’ in 2017, and since then the clear cohesion between the two has brought more and more music, jazzy riddims and rowdy live shows.
Since then, Verbz and Mr Slipz began creating their own lane for soulful, truth-adhering hiphop, their tracks remaining deep in a constant rotation for true UK hiphop fans. Now they are joined by a name that is only spoken highly throughout the drum and bass circuit, Alix Perez.
Perez sits seamlessly into the mix, providing a gentle and soulful touch to the already heartfelt original. Jazzy riffs, gentle piano keys and chords, with light and skippy drums. All of which combined spectacularly with singer/songwriter, Riah Knight, and her airy, fervent vocals.
The remix is out now on High Focus, included on 7” vinyl.
