Preparing for a long overdue return, Printworks London launches a bold concept, Redacted, for their opening weekend with three stand-alone shows, taking place on Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th September 2021

A SERIES OF THREE CAREFULLY CURATED SHOWS.

No Social Media. No Cameras. No Distractions.

With the return of events on the horizon and after a long hibernation throughout the COVID19 period, comes the emergence of one of the most innovative ideas that we have heard of in quite some time. Printworks London, a cultural destination since it’s opening in 2017, are taking it back to basics with a three day weekender, full of different grooves, vibes and most importantly, no social media or cameras.

The message is loud and clear from this mission statement. With the rise of social media having an undoubtedly significant effect on the rave scene, both positive and negative, this event is both showcasing and utilising both sides of the coin and it is a brilliant move.

Lockdown has left people hungry for a rave and willing to try new concepts, this is the perfect time to do something so against the grain of the modern day rave.

The debate around phones at events continues to roll on, with the scene mostly divided on the matter. Many people will say that they should be banned at events, whilst others argue that the ability to capture moments - before smartphones would have resided solely in a hazy memory - is something that is vital in this modern age of technology.

We’ve seen the latter argument play out over the past few years and Printworks have decided that now is the time to trial the former.

With lineups for each show already locked in, let’s take a quick look at what you can expect from each day’s events.

On Friday, ‘Late Night Movement’, have put together a programme that unites purveyors of the underground, revered selectors and adventurous producers to mark the opening of Printworks Redacted with a late night finish.

Returning to the traditional daytime hours, Saturday will see 'To The Floor’ taking over the dancefloor featuring some of dance music's most heavyweight names bringing those house-laden grooves.

Low End Theories’ arrive on Sunday, ready to showcase the finest in drum and bass. Expect high-energy MCs, reloads, dynamic b2bs, drum and bass crews and non-stop energy at 140bpm+.

Redacted at Printworks strips away complexities, inviting guests to momentarily place the outside world on pause and return once more to the dancefloor. A chance to reconnect with music and immerse yourself in the experience.

#1. It's Printworks London

Printworks London first opened it's doors in January, 2017. Once home to the largest printing factory in Western Europe, the original aesthetics, giant machines and printing presses have been preserved to create a stunning, industrial environment for a dynamic array of events. Their award-winning seasonal music series showcases the best in live and electronic music, becoming a vital part of the city’s vibrant cultural scene today and garnering global acclaim.

Printworks London has garnered a string of awards and accolades including 5th best club in DJ Mag’s global ‘Top 100 clubs poll 2020’, ‘Most Loved Local Club’ in Time Out’s ‘London Loves’ awards in 2018 and ‘Most Unique Venue’ in the Skiddle Awards 2019.

#2. The mystery

With each line-up being carefully selected and put together by the trustworthy people behind this innovative idea, the end results are sure to live long in the memory. Nonetheless, the idea of not knowing the artists on show, creates a mysterious, unknowing vibe that has been synonymous with the last year or more, only this time with far more positive results
